Think of it as an aristocratic lemon slushie. The sgroppino cocktail can be traced to the early 1500s, when it was served to Venetian nobility as a palate cleanser. Today it's often enjoyed as an after-dinner digestive or simple refreshment. "Sgroppino embodies everything great about Italian cuisine—simple, fresh ingredients coming together for an exhilarating, one-of-a-kind sensory experience," says Ian D'Agata, bene's wine expert. "There are fewer things more beautiful than sipping a sgroppino and watching the sun set over a Venetian canal with someone you love."

In a small bowl, whisk together half cup Prosecco, a splash of vodka and a small scoop of lemon gelato or sorbet. Pour the mix into a chilled Champagne flute, and garnish with chopped mint.
