The Colors of Capri

When Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis visited Capri in the 1960s, she would call ahead to a local tailor and ask him to make her six pairs of capris--all in white. These she wore everyday, paired with fitted T-shirts, giant sunglasses and Pucci scarves inspired by the island's waters, bougainvillea and lemon trees. She understood the essence of Capri style: glamour meets island ease. This summer, wherever you soak up the sun, take your cues from Capri and mix together printed swimsuits, white pants, bright scarves and big shades, just like Jackie O.
